I am an enthusiastic multimedia journalist with years of experience in copy editing, video production and digital sound editing. I aim to be progressive in my focus and conscientious in my effort to tell stories that need to be told. Through my travels I have learned to respect and more fully grasp the power and influence of American media. I aim to be influential in the development of professional journalistic dialogue, created on an ethical foundation that works to abolish fear and misunderstanding of marginalized groups, therefore working to create a more peaceful world.

 

My thesis projects while at CU included an exploration of the commodified "gay" identity and the changing face of marketing based on the formation of self-made models. I also examined the evolution of political persuasion based on our constant participation in the hyper-real world of social media.
